Eric Steuer, usually of Meanest Man Contest, is an unusually powerful collision of musical proficiency, intellectual grounding, and cultural involvement: a West Coast Renaissance man. His remix of “Dangerous Strangers,” from LA’s Superhumanoids is a perfect case in point, with a talented band having its internal influences deconstructed and amplified by a composer that probably knows them better than they do.
