Oh Whitney is the nom de plume taken up by a group of friends who as far as I can tell ended up in New York for one or another school related obligation and began playing music together. Their hour long debut occasionally strains the boundaries of what anyone can happily digest in a sitting, just by virtue of its length, but individually their songs are surprisingly well done for a band that harps on their own confluence of generic influences – folk, rock, blues, pop, what have you.
