Manon Kündig

Manon Kündig is clearly playing by no-one’s set of rules but her own. A graduate of the Fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Kündig’s work is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.

This collection presented here is inspired by the Bower Bird, found in the tropical areas of New Guinea and Northern Australia, which creates large structures out of foliage and brightly-coloured objects to attract a mate.

There’s certainly no shortage of colour in Kündig’s designs. Not a shortage of socks and flip-flops either. Or long, creepy nails. It’s like fashion meets a very colourful nightmare.
